Wall Backdrop

Since any dessert bar setup is incomplete without a lovely backdrop, we decided to kick things off by setting up a St. Patrick’s Day backdrop to draw more attention to our tablescape. Hence, we gave a plain and boring wall an Irish makeover using white brick foam tiles, shimmering green metallic foil curtains, and some metallic gold mylar letter balloons and green shamrock-shaped mylar balloons. The brick textured wall tiles were the perfect base for the table backdrop while the foil fringe curtains featuring a self adhesive backing were not only easy to install but also added glitz and glam to the party decorations in combination with the fun gold foil balloon banner.

Linens

As soon as we were done putting up all the decorations on our St. Patrick’s Day backdrop, we pushed back a rectangular table against it to set the scene. Although our store is loaded with bright and lustrous green and gold colored tablecloths, we decided to dial back the vibrancy a bit and swathed a plain white tablecloth over our table coupling it with a see through green organza overlay for an elegant appeal. The neutral-colored table linen beautifully offset the metallic tones while the embroidered organza overlay with glossy green satin edges hinted towards the iconic holiday color.

Once the foundation for the table was all set, the tabletop decorations were next on the agenda. Because the three-leafed shamrock is such an important part of St. Patrick’s Day given its history, it was only fitting that we used the lucky charm as our tabletop decorations and showpieces. Hence, we have carefully positioned a pair of shamrocks made from foil fringe garlands and also arranged green clover leaf garlands along the middle of the table which proved to be a glorious way to add the luck of the Irish to our dessert station.

Moreover, since everyone is free to drink at any time of the day on this holiday, we thought it would be appropriate and amusing to display a fun sign saying “Its 5 o Clock Somewhere” to help ease the conscience of the guests when they came for seconds or thirds! The marquee lightbox which we placed right in the center of the table perfectly highlighted the phrase and oozed radiance onto our St. Patrick’s Day dessert table.

Because we wanted to incorporate all the things that bring joy to St. Patrick’s Day holiday in our table decor, it is no surprise that the pots of gold and treasure make an appearance on our table. Emulating the pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, our small black pots loaded with gleaming gold acrylic ice crystals added a magical charm to the tabletop decor.

Although the black mini pots of gold were a lovely reminder for the little leprechauns to look for ones filled with candies around the house, we also placed a few mini treasure chests on the table to further jazz up our St. Patrick’s Day table decorations. Here we have filled them with shiny white and green faux pearl beads and scattered some gold candy coins around the treasure boxes but you can also fill candy coins or other sweet treats in them for extra cheer. Moreover, we have also strewed a handful of metallic gold silk petals all over the table that magically helped tie all the different accents together.

Serveware

Because we wanted to elevate our St. Patrick’s Day table decorations up a notch, using decorative yet functional serveware to stylishly display all those decadent sweet treats made perfect sense. Hence, we haven’t looked any further than our intricately design 3-tiered gold cupcake display stand to elegantly present the St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes and sage green leaf top party favor boxes that were stuffed with green and gold colored candies. Made from metal, our 3 tier metallic gold stand not only accentuated the visual appeal of our St. Patrick’s Day desserts but also helped maximize space and add gorgeous dimension to our station.

It is said that a party isn’t a party without a cake, and we don’t disagree! Thus, we have used a coordinating gold metal cake stand to present the amazing St. Patrick’s Day cake. The glistening gold stand matched perfectly with the cupcake stand and added a dose of sparkling elegance to the decor.

However, when it came to putting the signature green drinks on display, there was nothing better than our set of clear glass beverage dispensers. The clear glass construction showcased the iconic green color while the metal stand beneath added height to the dispensers and the spigot aided in easy pouring.

Dinnerware

Although the desserts were either small and bite sized or individually packed, we thought it would be wise to accommodate the guests with plates and napkins. Hence, we have neatly stacked our gold diamond rimmed square dinner plates on the table with a pile of paper napkins on the side. For the drinks, we opted for our small gold rimmed disposable glasses and placed them on a lovely gold metal serving tray to avoid spills on the table.
